Research Projects

Ray Fasano is a Sandia National Laboratory affiliate researcher and University of New Mexico (UNM) graduate student in the nuclear engineering department. Ray received his bachelors of science from Tufts University in mechanical engineering and his masters of science in nuclear engineering from UNM. Currently Ray's research is focused in the cyber security of digital control systems for nuclear power plants and more generally critical infrastructure using novel modeling and simulation techniques. SNL is working in collaboration with the Institute for Space and Nuclear Power Studies at UNM on the NicSim NEUP project with Prof. El Genk as the principle investigator.
